Dart buys FW offices to convert to Mixed use project

Dart Expands Downtown Ft. Worth Footprint

Dart Interests bought 4.6 acres in downtown Fort Worth, including a four-story office building at 300 Burnet Street. The latest purchase will go along with its recent purchase of the town’s library. Dart paid $18 million for the old library building. The Dallas Business Journal reports Fort Worth sold the building because officials wanted a mixed-use development of at least $200 million in development to put on the city’s tax rolls as the library moved to a smaller space.

Dart Interests will continue to operate the office building at 300 Burnett St., which is home to a mix of tenants. As planning moves forward, additional details about the surrounding acreage will be shared.

Dart Interests has built a portfolio over the years that includes multifamily, hospitality, resorts, and mixed-use projects. Of note is the Evermore Orlando Resort, a roughly $700 million, 10,000-room project next to Walt Disney World in Florida.
