  • Transwestern Real Estate Services appointed Laura Bacelli as national director of hospitality to pioneer the firm’s integrated approach to asset services hospitality. Based in New York City, Bacelli will define, lead and scale the Transwestern hospitality ethos across the firm’s national managed portfolio of commercial properties. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the luxury lifestyle industry to Transwestern, serving as VP of Experience at hospitality development and management company ROH and as VP of business development for InsiderNYC. 
  • ICG, a global alternative asset manager, announced two new senior hires to support the expansion of its real estate platform into North America. Tim Fuzesi joins as a managing director and head of North America real estate, while Nick Donatiello joins as a principal. Both will be based in ICG’s New York office. 
  • Criterion Real Estate Capital hired Adam Matos as managing director and Ben Milde as COO. Matos joins Criterion from publicly traded REIT Safehold Inc., where he served as an SVP. Milde joins from multifamily investment and development firm Richbell Equities LLC. In addition, Brett Kantor, who has been with Criterion since 2014, has been promoted to managing director. 
  • Life sciences expert Jennie Taveras has joined STO Building Group to lead the company’s growth in the life sciences sector and support the needs of life sciences clients and projects across the organization. With degrees in chemical engineering and extensive experience across process and project management roles with industry leaders such as Bristol Meyers Squibb and Sanofi Pateur, Taveras brings a unique owner’s perspective, wealth of sector knowledge and a record of building client relationships. 
  • Sitex Group, a New Jersey-based private equity real estate firm focused on acquiring, developing and repositioning industrial assets, has promoted Jackson Kaplan from VP to SVP. Kaplan will continue to lead the firm’s direct equity investments across Florida’s industrial markets and Sitex’s debt investment platform. 
  • 365 Data Centers, a Norwalk, CT-based provider of network-centric colocation, cloud solutions and connectivity, added Derek Gillespie as chief revenue officer. Gillespie brings more than 25 years of sales leadership experience to his role, most recently as chief sales officer at Zayo, which became one of the largest privately held operators of global communications infrastructure worldwide during his nine-year tenure.  
  • Michael Kostow, Lena Dau-Ping Fan and Gary Li, equity owners of KGA (Kostow Greenwood Architects), announced the consolidation of Mitchell Kurtz Architects with KGA. Mitchell Kurtz will join KGA as a principal and continue to oversee projects.  The leadership and ownership of KGA will remain with Kostow, Fan and Li. In addition, architects Paul Maguda and Dan Jacques transition to KGA as associate and project architect, respectively.  The expanded KGA team will be located at the existing studio at 594 Broadway in Lower Manhattan. 
  • RM Friedland, a Harrison, NY-based commercial real estate brokerage firm, has added Thomas Ashforth and Nathaniel Barnum, bringing extensive expertise and leadership to the firm’s expansion into the Southern Connecticut commercial real estate market. Ashforth and Barnum both join RM Friedland as co-managing directors of Connecticut and will help spearhead the firm’s further growth into the market. 
  • Bowtie Inc., specializing in practical AI solutions for the commercial real estate and asset management industries, received a substantial growth equity investment from Sabin Burrell and Forza Holdings. The new capital infusion will accelerate New York-based Bowtie’s expansion and further its mission of streamlining complex workflows. 
  • WeWork and Firstbase, a provider of remote infrastructure for global teams, announced a new partnership intended to reduce friction and drive productivity for remote and distributed companies. Companies using Firstbase can now include a WeWork All Access membership in their employee onboarding package, offering remote workers 450+ flexible workspaces globally that support productivity and foster collaboration. 
  • Atkins Companies has completed a multimillion-dollar capital improvement project at its Washington Medical Arts building located at 405 Hurffville-Cross Keys Rd. in Washington Township, Gloucester County, NJ. The renovation project included converting a former fitness center on the first floor into 33,000 square feet of clinical medical space. In addition, approximately 7,700 square feet of leasable space was created by filling in the former two-story area of the fitness center.
