Lee & Associates D.C. Office Adds CRE Veteran

Tom Whelan, a principal in the Lee & Associates | Maryland regional office, has been tapped to oversee the operations and growth expectations of the organization’s Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia branches.

Whelan brings more than 38 years of commercial real estate experience to this new role, including the past twelve with Lee & Associates. Whelan, together with Allan Riorda, SIOR, co-founded the Maryland division of the world’s largest employee-owned brokerage firm in 2013 and has since expanded the operation to include nearly 20 full-time brokerage professionals, property management staff, and marketing and administrative personnel.

“Fundamentals in the DC/Northern Virginia market are among the strongest in the country, and we have a strong in-place team to create and respond to emerging opportunities in the market,” said Riorda.

Supporting Whelan will be Kristin Rebeck, Senior Vice President, a 17-year real estate veteran who specializes in the commercial office, office/flex, and industrial/warehouse asset classes, as well as
Gideon Price, who primarily handles tenant and landlord leasing representation.
