Apple Opening Revamped Retail Store in Fairfax

Apple is planning to open a new store at the Fairfax Corner retail center, less than a mile away from its existing location at Fair Oaks Mall.

Apple will join Arhaus, a high-end home furnishings store moving within Fairfax Corner, in a newly constructed, 36,000-square-foot retail building located, reported the Washington Business Journal.

Apple’s new location will be at 4221 Fairfax Corner East Avenue, in the Fairfax Corner shopping plaza just across Interstate 66 from the Fair Oaks Mall. The mixed-use shopping center offers an array of both national chains and local boutiques, as well as residential options, including lofts, townhomes, and apartments.

Apple opened its Fair Oaks store in 2008, less than a year after the original iPhone launched. It is in the Washington, D.C. suburbs near Apple’s first-ever store at Tysons Corner Center, which also moved as part of a revamp last year. According to Apple’s website, the new Fairfax location is set to open November 9.
