Two Miami developers hoping to convert bank branch site into condos

Miami Developer Duo Eyeing Bank Branch Property for Condos

S. Florida developers hope to raze a former Truist Bank at 2501 Galiano Street in Coral Gables and build a 13-story condo project. Brett Weinblatt and Bobby Adjmi have petitioned the Coral Gables Development Review Committee to make the change that would allow them to proceed with the project. Of the 93 total units, 85 would be condos, and the remaining eight would be short-term rentals.

The upscale residences would start on the tower’s fifth floor and continue to the top floor. Homes would range from studios to three-bedroom layout plans, measuring 501 to 1,216 square feet. Amenities would include a rooftop swimming pool and 1,655 square feet of additional activity space. In addition to the homes, plans call for 7,863 square feet of ground-floor retail. Bermello Ajamil Partners is the architect.

The comprehensive plan amendment would need City Council approval at a later date.
