REĀL Herencia Spotlights Impact of Latino Culture on CRE

REĀL, a commercial real estate organization focused on the advancement and integration of Latinx professionals in the industry, marked Hispanic Heritage Month recently with Herencia, an event at Mercado González in Costa Mesa. The evening featured a fireside chat with executives at Northgate Markets, moderated by Daniel Ceniceros, president and CEO of Connect Media and marketing chair of REĀL, focusing on Northgate’s strategic growth centered on the Latino market and the impact of Latino culture on commercial real estate.

Sharing the spotlight with Ceniceros were Paul Mittmann, SVP of development at Northgate Markets, and Alicia Valadez, manager for leasing and government affairs. Founded in 1980 with a store in Anaheim, Northgate now operates 43 stores across Southern California.

The conversation with Mittmann and Valadez focused on running the business, the involvement of the founding González family and overcoming the challenges of keeping authentic Latino and Hispanic products on the shelves.
