Early Approvals Granted for Massive Ocoee Sports Complex

Montierre Development is moving forward on a mammoth multi-sports mixed-use development in Ocoee. The town’s city council could vote on the item next month.

The 150-acre development will rise near the intersection of East Fullers Cross Road and Ocoee Apopka Road and include 17 multi-sport fields, 1,114 hotel rooms and 4,277 parking spaces.

The complex — referred to in documents as The Dynasty Ocoee — also includes:

  • 180,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space, including 50,000 square feet of indoor entertainment space
  • 150,000-square-foot indoor sports venue
    • 130,000 square feet of restaurant space

The Orlando Busines Journal reports the project is expected to include $600 million of work, including road improvements and the development’s construction. In addition to 9,800 short-term construction jobs, the project is expected to add 5,000 permanent jobs and have an annual economic impact of $540 million a year.

The developer would like to start construction in 2025 and complete the project in 2027. The developer acquired more than 132 acres for the 150-acre project for $9.5 million.
