Hoar Renovating, Expanding Leesburg Police Department Building

Hoar Construction announced the topping out of the Leesburg Police Department’s Public Safety Facility in Leesburg, Virginia, near Washington, D.C.

Expected to be completed in March 2026, the project’s 14,500-square-foot expansion and 21,000 square feet of renovations aim to enhance the 27-year-old building’s facilities and amenities while modernizing the campus. The project will add space to existing locker rooms, create a mezzanine level for a fitness center and complete improvements to the electrical room and other general upgrades.

“Completing a project such as the Leesburg Police Department’s Public Safety Facility, which involves sticking to a close schedule and ensuring operations are not interrupted, requires a high standard of care and coordination that Hoar is dedicated to providing,” said Will Carbaugh, project manager at Hoar. Additional project partners for the expansion and renovation include Dewberry as the architect and RK&K as the program manager.
