Battery Maker Alsym Energy Moves Headquarters to Exchange 200 in Malden

Woburn-based battery maker Alsym Energy has signed a 60,000-square-foot lease with real estate developer Berkeley Investments and its partner, Singerman Real Estate, to expand its operations to Exchange 200 in Malden, MA.

The Exchange 200 location will become Alsym’s official headquarters, with operations continuing at its existing Woburn facility. The expansion represents the largest lease signing to date at the building and one of the largest new cleantech lab leases signed in Greater Boston in 2024.

The JLL team of Molly Heath, Chris McCauley and Anslee Krouch represented Berkeley and Singerman in the leasing deal. “The most exciting thing about Exchange 200 is that it continues to meet the needs of a wide variety of tenants.” said Heath. “The building offers spec lab suites so young companies can conserve capital to invest in their teams and R&D. And it offers shell space on lower floors that can be built out for more specialized programmatic requirements and to accommodate future tenant growth.”

Bill Lynch and Caroline Evans of Colliers represented Alsym Energy.
