Dallas investors buying BA tower and will spend $350M on renovations

Investor Duo Buying Dallas BofA Tower, Plan $350M Renovation

Two Dallas developers are looking at buying the towns tallest tower with plans to redevelop it. Mike Hoque and Mike Ablon told D CEO that they have the 72-floor Bank of America Plaza under contract. The seller is Metropolis Holdings.

The buyers plan to invest $350 million revamping the building. Plans for the 1.85 million-square-foot tower include a 300-room luxury hotel. Hoque is working with Horizon Capital, to pursue the hotel idea.

Hoque and Ablon’s plans for BofA Plaza also call for a reflecting pool on the 69th floor, an upper-level restaurant, three restaurants on the street level, and shops.

Bank of America announced plans last year to move from the building at 901 Main Street to Parkside Uptown, near Klyde Warren Park.
