Brookfield Sells Potomac Tower in Rosslyn for $143M

Brookfield has sold Potomac Tower, a twenty-story trophy office tower at 1001 19th Street North in Rosslyn, to Venture Global LNG Inc. for $143 million.

Venture Global, the building’s largest tenant and a liquefied natural gas provider, has global headquarters in the building. The company paid roughly $600 a square foot for the Class A building at 1001 19th St. N. in Arlington, reported the Washington Business Journal.

The sale involved two separate transactions on with one for the building at $113.8 million, and another other for the land at $29.2 million. Venture Global bought the building from BFP Potomac Tower Co. LLC, a subsidiary of Brookfield Corp.

The building is fully leased and is home to tenants, including Nestle, Rosetta Stone and Amazon’s HQ2. It was designed by late architect I.M. Pei, who also designed the Louvre Pyramid in Paris.
