Related California’s Santa Ana Mixed-Use Awaits Final Approval

The Santa Ana City Council will hold a public hearing at its Sept. 17 meeting to consider Related Bristol, a two-block mixed-use project proposed by Related California, reported the Orange County Register. If the project is approved, Irvine-based Related California estimates the phased construction could be completed in about 10 years.

The development along Santa Ana’s south Bristol Street corridor calls for up to 3,750 residential units, a 250-room hotel, a 200-unit tower for senior living, as much as 350,000 square feet of restaurants and shops, a grocery store and 13 acres of park space.

Unanimous approval for the project came from the Santa Ana Planning Commission last month. The project now requires the final seal of approval from the City Council. Related California EVP Steven Oh told the Register his team has spoken over the past two-and-a-half years with nearby residents, local organizations and businesses about the project.
