- CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM) has made appointments in lead portfolio management roles for two of its largest flagship open-end strategies. Elisabeth Troni has been appointed as lead portfolio manager for the firm’s U.S. core real estate strategy, based in New York. Lucy Fletcher has joined CBRE IM as lead portfolio manager for the global open-end core-plus strategy, based in Boston and succeeding Troni in this role.
- PGIM Real Estate has appointed Richard Price as a managing director and senior portfolio manager, international equity. Based in San Francisco, he will work in partnership with the portfolio management teams of PGIM Real Estate’s European, Latin American and Asia Pacific strategies. Price brings more than 25 years of global real estate experience to PGIM Real Estate. Most recently, he served as the co-head of BGO’s proptech innovation and investment team and was the COO of BGO’s global capital raising and investor relations group.
- MDH Partners has hired Nathan Balmes as CFO in Atlanta. The company is an Atlanta-based real estate investment company managing its discretionary funds targeting industrial real estate across the U.S. on behalf of its institutional investors. Balmes will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities of the company. He was previously SVP, senior controller for Stonemont Financial Group in Atlanta. Executive search firm RETS Associates handled the search.
- Bobby Cook has joined King & Spalding as a partner in its real estate and funds practice group based in the firm’s New York office. He joins King & Spalding from Arnold & Porter, where he was a partner.
- C-STAR, a tech-empowered real estate investment company, appointed Mitch Presnick as chief advisor. With more than three decades of experience in real estate, hospitality, private equity, and capital markets, Presnick brings significant expertise and strategic insight to C-Star’s leadership team.
- Sara Caples and Everardo Jefferson, co-founders and principals of New York City-based Caples Jefferson Architects, have been elected as National Academicians in the Class of 2024 at the National Academy of Design. They join a class of 28 electees who are recognized for their contributions to contemporary American art and architecture. They will be inducted into the National Academy of Design at a ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
- Lev, a digital financing platform for commercial real estate, introduced a major expansion of its AI-powered commercial real estate platform to support debt brokers. This extends Lev’s technology beyond sponsors, providing brokers with a comprehensive suite of data and tools designed to solve critical pain points in their daily operations.
- RentRedi, an award-winning property management software designed to simplify the renting process for both landlords and tenants, has extended its relationship with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) by partnering with NAR’s Commercial Member Services. The new alliance provides NAR commercial members with a deal for free premium onboarding with a discounted subscription to RentRedi’s full suite of property management services.
