Mixed-use project slated for Wynwood

New Wynwood Project to Feature Condos, Hotel, Retail

Whale & Star Wynwood is developing 2215 NW 1stPlace, a mixed-use development that will feature a new 214-key The Cloud One Hotel, condo units, retail, a rooftop bar and a restaurant. The eight-story project will span half a city block. 

87 residential units will be on levels 6-8. The Cloud One Hotel will have its rooms on floors 3-5. Residences will be serviced by The Cloud One Hotel. The rooftop will include a restaurant and bar along with a pool.

Currently, the property contains 27,406 square feet of commercial buildings, which would be demolished under the proposal. The developer, Whale & Star Wynwood Owner LLC, acquired the property for $24 million in 2023.

The projects design is a collaboration between New York-based HWKN and Miami-based ODP Architects.

Whale & Star Wynwood Owner LLC is a partnership involving German hospitality group Motel One, Ralf Buschl of the Buschl Group, and Sebastian Ludke of ALP.X Group.
