48-Story Austin Tower Tops Out

A 557-unit downtown Austin apartment tower now rising on Rainey Street has made a construction milestone, reaching its maximum height. The 48-story tower broke ground in early 2023 and is expected to open in late 2025. Developer LV Collective and JE Dunn Construction celebrated the milestone. Project designers are architects Pappageorge Haymes Partners.

Called the Paseo, the project contains residences ranging from studios to three-bedroom units. Amenities include a pool, spa, and fitness center. Residents will also enjoy a private rooftop pool and sky lounge on floor 48, as well as amenity decks and coworking spaces with private work pods and collaborative conference rooms stretching from floors 12-14.  The tower’s ground and second-floor retail space will include several food and beverage concepts.

Two historic bungalows have been preserved and will both remain on site as restaurant and bar spaces. Additionally, the developers are keeping a vacant space open under the main floor to create a music venue.
