- Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces Steve Leathers has joined the firm as Senior Managing Director of Healthcare Capital Markets. In this newly created role, Leathers will apply more than 15 years of leadership experience in capital markets advisory, investment management, and principal acquisitions to maximize outcomes for healthcare clients nationally. Before joining Transwestern, Steve was part of JLL’s healthcare real estate capital markets team in New York.
- GBT Realty Corporation is developing Providence Marketplace, a grocery-anchored shopping center in Providence Village. Construction is currently underway on the 33,700-sq. ft. neighborhood retail center on 8.75 acres at US Highway 380 and Main Street. Providence Marketplace is anchored by a 23,300-sq. ft. Sprouts Farmers Market.
- Stonepeak acquired two logistics assets totaling 1.1 million square feet in Fort Worth, Texas from institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management. The assets are in the Alliance submarket of Dallas-Fort Worth, which is anchored by two Class I rail lines, the BNSF Alliance intermodal terminal, and the Fort Worth Alliance cargo airport, all of which have direct access to the I-35 “NAFTA highway” linking Mexico to Canada.
- According to Zumper’s Dallas Metro reports, the price of one-bedroom units grew 2.9% to $1,410, while two-bedroom units increased 2.1% to $1,990. Coppell ranked as the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,660. Haltom City was the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,010.
- Hoar Construction topped out at Icon, a 30-story, Class-A apartment tower in the West Campus neighborhood near The University of Texas at Austin. Hoar is serving as the general contractor on the construction of the building alongside developer MDL Development. Icon broke ground in March 2023 and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025. Icon will house 555 beds across 216 apartments ranging from one- to five-bedroom units.
