Long-Vacant Gasho of Japan in Westchester to Become Event Space
After being vacant six years, the old Gasho of Japan space on Saw Mill River Road in Hawthorne, NY has a new owner. Entrepreneur Michael Pasqualini, known for Mansion on Broadway in White Plains, purchased the 2.8-acre estate and recently broke ground on a multi-million-dollar renovation and expansion of the property.
More than 100 guests, including Town of Mt. Pleasant Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi, joined Pasqualini for the groundbreaking ceremony for Le Setai, an event space slated to open in the fall of 2025. The nearly 13,000-square-foot venue will feature a Grand Ballroom with a skylight over the dance floor. The space will also include a glass walking bridge along with a ceremony platform and gazebo. The top peak of the old Gasho 16th-century samurai farmhouse will remain intact with a major facelift.
Pasqualini said, “It is our goal to transform this local, iconic property into the Tri-State’s top wedding and special events destination.”
