Mexico-based hotel operator eyeing Lake Disney location

Luxury Hotel Operator Looking at Lake Bryan Location

Mexico-based MB Signature Properties is eyeing a property near Disney World to build a 19-story, 199-room luxury hotel. A floor plan reveals a mix of room sizes and amenities, including a spa, gym, coworking space, an arcade, restaurant, bar, rooftop facilities and a pool area.

The Orlando Business Journal reports, as planned, it would be built on a little over four acres at 13651 S. Apopka Vineland Road, on the shore of Lake Bryan in unincorporated Orange County, a mile or so east of Disney Springs.

An Orlando hotel recently became the largest hotel sale in the country this year. The 32-story, 1641-room Hyatt Regency Orlando sold for just over $1 billion. Orlando has more than 480 hotels and resorts and over 130,000 rooms.
