Musk Adding 112K SF to Austin Neuralink Campus

Elon Musk’s brain-chip company, Neuralink, is planning a new office expansion in the suburb of Del Valle.

Construction recently started on a series of new buildings at Elon Musk’s Neuralink enterprise. The estimated price of construction is nearly $15 million. The 112,000-square-foot facility is on 37 acres, just 20 minutes away from Tesla’s Giga Texas headquarters. The building will be three stories and include offices, a machine shop and manufacturing areas.

Founded by Musk in 2016, the California-based technology company Neuralink aims to create implantable brain-computer interfaces that allow people with disabilities to operate mobile devices and computers with their thoughts.

Musk’s plans to create Neuralink facilities in Austin were first proposed to Travis County in 2022.
