Walker & Dunlop Arranges $148M Refi for Tallest Building in Harlem

Walker & Dunlop, Inc. has arranged a $148 million loan to refinance The Victoria, a 30-story multi-tower project in Harlem. The financing was secured through Aareal Capital and facilitated by Walker & Dunlop’s New York Capital Markets team, including Aaron Appel, Keith Kurland, Jonathan Schwartz, Adam Schwartz, Ari Hirt, and William Herring. The project, developed by Lam Group and Exact Capital, features 191 luxury residences, a 211-key Marriott Renaissance Hotel, and 23,000 square feet of retail space.

The Victoria, completed in Q3 2023, is Harlem’s tallest building and includes 52 below-grade parking spaces. Located near the Apollo Theater and Columbia University’s Manhattanville campus, it blends cultural heritage with modern amenities. “This transaction underscores the project’s significance as a transformative development in Upper Manhattan,” said Appel.
