HSBC Unveils New US HQ in Hudson Yards

HSBC has inaugurated its new U.S. headquarters at The Spiral in Hudson Yards, marking its largest U.S. relocation to date. Mayor Eric Adams, Michael R. Bloomberg, Kathryn Wylde, and architect Bjarke Ingels were among the guests at the grand opening ceremony. HSBC Group Chairman Mark Tucker and U.S. and Americas CEO Michael Roberts led the event, which included placing artifacts into a time capsule to be opened in 40 years for the Bank’s bicentennial.

The Spiral, developed by Tishman Speyer and designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, offers a workplace experience with green outdoor terraces on each of its 66 stories. The building is pursuing LEED Silver certification, reflecting HSBC’s commitment to sustainability and inclusivity in its workplace.

“Our new U.S. headquarters in the heart of one of the world’s financial capitals symbolizes our commitment to our clients and to this critical market,” said HSBC Group Chairman Mark Tucker. “We remain focused on connecting our clients in the US to opportunities overseas, and those around the world to the US.”
