New City to Open 196-Bed FORTH Atlanta Hotel

New City Properties and Method Co. will open FORTH Atlanta, a $150-million, 16-floor development that will include a 196-room luxury boutique hotel with 39 apartment-style rooms dedicated for extended stays.  The joint venture expects to open its doors in June 2024.

There will be four separate food & beverage concepts, an outdoor pool, a flexible venue for events, a fitness center and a members-only social club. The companies say FORTH Atlanta will be the centerpiece of one of the largest mixed-use developments on the Atlanta BeltLine and the country’s Southeast region.

In 2018, New City Properties acquired 11 acres of property in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood between the Historic Fourth Ward Park and the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, two blocks south of Ponce City Market. New City started work on the three buildings, including FORTH Atlanta, in July 2020.

Morris Adjmi Architects is the project’s architect and interior design firm. New City has selected Method Co. to operate the property.
