MXU Sells with Plans for Conversion into Medical Space

Tim Rasmussen, CCIM and Marcus Sullivan of SVN Chicago Commercial’s Restaurant Resource Group helped secure the sale of a 6,800-square-foot mixed-use building located at 5212 N Clark Street in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.

SVN | Chicago Commercial represented the seller involved in the transaction. The asset sold for
$2.27 million. The team secured a local buyer who plans to convert the ground floor commercial space into medical use as an owner and operator while also achieving one of the highest prices per square foot for an Andersonville mixed-use property.

The property was previously home to a Gadabout restaurant, which served elevated street food that shuttered in 2022. The building is situated in the heart of Andersonville near boutique shops and retail stores.
