280 mixed income apartment units delivered in Houston

280 Affordable Apartments Come Online in Houston

The Torrey Chase Apartments is taking tenants. The 280-unit complex at 14700 Torrey Chase Blvd. in Houston offers one- and two-bedroom apartments for rent to residents earning 60% or less of the area median income. The apartments feature amenities such as a dog park, a multi-acre walking park, a swimming pool, an entertainment area and a playscape.

The development was a collaboration between MLC HTX, a joint venture between Westmont Hospitality Group, STOA Architects and DC Partners and the Houston Housing Authority.

The Houston Housing Authority (HHA) helped with Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds and participation in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. HHA’s David Northern added, “We have 40,000 people on our waiting list. We could not do this alone. We need deep affordability options in our city, and this partnership allows us to provide quality housing for local families. We want to continue to bring more properties like this to our city.”
