Taconic Partners Adds Three New Leases in Harlem

Taconic Partners has finalized leases with Studio Museum in Harlem, United Negro College Fund (UNCF), and Virginia Union University at the Urban Empowerment Center (UEC) at 121 West 125th Street. The agreements span 51,000 square feet on the fifth floor of the development’s commercial space, joining the National Urban League headquarters as it returns to Harlem.

Studio Museum in Harlem will utilize 26,000 square feet for its offices, located across from its new museum on 125th Street. UNCF will occupy a 5,700-square-foot space for executive and staff offices, while Virginia Union will have 19,400 square feet for community outreach in Harlem.

The Urban Empowerment Center, a collaboration with Empire State Development, offers Class-A office and retail spaces and affordable housing. The mixed-use development features 90,000 square feet of office space, 84,000 square feet of retail, and 171 affordable residential units. It will also house a 20,000-square-foot Urban Civil Rights Museum and serve as a commercial hub for Harlem residents.
