Submersive to debut in Austin

Extrasensory Spa to Debut in Austin

Immersive art and entertainment. That’s how the founder of a new spa concept coming to Austin describes Submersive.

The owner, Corvas Brinkerhoff, has spent the last 15 years running Meow Wolf, a New Mexico relaxation and therapy spa.

Submersive’s 25,000-square-foot therapeutic spa will cost $15 million and feature video projection, immersive art, steam, lasers and AI technology. The first half of the spa is slated to open at an undisclosed Austin location in 2026, while the entire structure is set to debut fully in 2028.

Amenities for Submersive guests include saunas, steam rooms, pools and cold plunges, all of which are blended with visual and hearing elements like lighting, sound, video and interactive technology.

Submersive will be Brinkerhoff’s first venture in Austin. The company is estimated to attract 200,000 visitors a year, and ticket prices are expected to be $88 per person.
