Law Firm Cravath to Move to Hudson Yards

New York law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore is leaving its Midtown offices for Hudson Yards, Financial Times reported. Other prestigious firms, including Cooley, Skadden Arps, and Debevoise & Plimpton, have also relocated westward. This move comes as Midtown faces challenges, with vacancy rates hitting a historic high of nearly 23 percent.

Cravath’s decision predates the pandemic, aiming to create a modern work environment and meet the preferences of younger attorneys. The firm will anchor Brookfield’s Two Manhattan West, a skyscraper near Penn Station. The new space includes amenities like an onsite café, “Barista Bar,” and a “lactation suite”.
