Private Equity Firm Blue Ops Relocates, Expands Chicago Office

Blue Ops, a private equity and M&A services firm, has signed a deal to occupy 27,762 square feet at 200 S. Michigan. This move approximately triples the company’s footprint from its existing Chicago office in the Central Loop.

JLL’s Craig Coupe and Ellen Trager represented the landlord, Stanton Road Capital, a private investment management firm. Brian Nelson of Winthrop Commercial, Inc. represented Blue Ops in the transaction.

The new location will serve as a Midwest hub location as Blue Ops expands its Chicago presence.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Xerxes Global, Blue Ops Partners provides services through every phase of the M&A lifecycle. The company also has offices in Minneapolis, Charlotte and Dublin.

The transaction is another example of “flight-to-quality” leasing activity in downtown Chicago. 200 S. Michigan features a Starbucks and a Potbelly restaurant, in addition to amenities including a fitness center and lounge. It is conveniently located near Millennium Park and within close walking distance of the CTA trains.
