BakerHostetler Renews Office Space at Transamerica Pyramid
Law firm BakerHostetler recently signed a five-year lease renewal at the Transamerica Pyramid, for which it was represented by CBRE. The firm will continue to lease the entire 31st floor at 600 Montgomery St., a space it has occupied since the San Francisco office opened in March 2020.
The renewal is for approximately 7,897 square feet. Lease terms give BakerHostetler the option of expanding into additional space. It has quadrupled its local headcount since opening the San Francisco office.
“The Transamerica Pyramid has always been ahead of its time, serving as a symbol of San Francisco’s pioneering spirit,” said Michael Shvo, chairman and CEO of landlord SHVO, which acquired the office tower in partnership with Deutsche Finance Group for $650 million in 2020. “We’re proud that firms like BakerHostetler, which represent quintessential California industries continue to choose the Pyramid as their home and gateway to the West Coast.”
SHVO is investing $1 billion towards the redevelopment of the tower and the surrounding neighborhood. The redevelopment is being led by architect Lord Norman Foster.
