Herc Rentals Signs Baltimore Industrial Space

Herc Rentals Inc., a heavy equipment rental company, has secured a lease for 30,892 square feet of space at 1200 Chesapeake Avenue in Baltimore, under an agreement with Alterra Property Group.

The property, located near transportation hubs including Fairfield Marine Terminal and I-895, features buildings suitable for warehouse, service, and administrative functions. The Bonita Spring, Florida-based company, with over 400 branches across the U.S. and Canada, plans to occupy the site later this year. The tenant was represented by Andrew Meeder and Dan Hudak of MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services.

“Herc Rentals depends on these spaces to store large pieces of equipment, and the demand for this relatively-new asset class remains exceedingly high. The company intends to also use the interior of the buildings for storage, as well as to perform repair and maintenance services. A small amount of space will also be used for sales and administrative functions,” said Meeder.
