Avison Young Arranges 1M-SF Industrial Lease for Crow Holdings

Avison Young has arranged a 1,001,162-square-foot industrial lease on behalf of developer Crow Holdings at 9850 Mississippi Street in Merrillville, Indiana. The deal represents one of the largest recent industrial leases in Northwest Indiana and the greater Chicago region.

The warehouse sits on a 79-acre site and will be a new location for the occupier, a major e-commerce corporation. This project is part of Crow Holdings’ 195-acre Silos at Sanders Farm business park, which has 20 acres of vacant land remaining for development.

Crow Holdings was represented by Adam Haefner, Marty Mikaitis, and Zeke Rowan, all based in Avison Young’s Chicago office. The tenant was represented by Ryan O’Leary of KBC Advisors.

“Global companies are beginning to recognize the transportation, economic, and labor advantages that Northwest Indiana has to offer in the context of national supply chains, not just at a local or regional level,” said Mikaitis.
