NewMark Merrill Tapped to Manage Vacaville Power Center

NewMark Merrill Companies, Inc. has been awarded property management of The Nut Tree and Nut Tree Plaza, a 372,225-square-foot retail and entertainment destination in Vacaville, just south of the 505 and 80 Interstate Freeways. Founded in 1921 as a roadside fruit stand, the center traded to Tower Investments for $124.5 million in 2022.

The Nut Tree draws more than 4.5 million visitors annually. Its anchor tenants include PetSmart, Nordstrom Rack, Kirkland’s, Ulta, Old Navy, Best Buy, Michaels and HomeGoods.

NewMark Merrill plans to enhance the shopping experience at The Nut Tree, working closely with the existing merchants, the community and the City of Vacaville. “NewMark Merrill believes that retail and specifically The Nut Tree is integral to Northern California, a region our company has served for many years,” said president and CDO Sandy Sigal. “The Nut Tree represents more than just a shopping center; it’s a piece of California’s history and a community gathering place.”
