Tishman Speyer Buys Land Under NJ Resi Towers

Tishman Speyer has acquired the land for its mixed-use development in Jersey City, which will feature two towers at 50 and 55 Hudson Street. The development will include nearly 2,000 new apartments, over 70,000 square feet of retail space, and a 32,000-square-foot public plaza with a direct connection to Jersey City’s waterfront esplanade.

Construction has started on 55 Hudson Street, a 58-story tower with 1,017 rental apartments, retail space, and resident amenities, expected to open in early 2027. The second phase at 50 Hudson Street will include a 48-story tower with 924 rental apartments, retail space, and additional amenities. The project, approved by the Jersey City Planning Board, is adjacent to transportation options like the NJ PATH, Light Rail, and ferries to New York, offering commute to Lower Manhattan.
