New Dunkin’ Store Coming to Downtown Detroit

Dunkin’ will open a new coffee and doughnuts shop in downtown Detroit, Michigan, in mid-April.

The store is expected to open next month at 1043 Woodward Avenue, reported Crain’s. The downtown Dunkin’ will open on the ground floor of a Bedrock LLC property underneath the 1001 Woodward Parking Garage structure above.

It is taking over a space previously occupied by Slices Pizza, which closed in 2020. The location will be operated by franchisee Mandy Ristic, who is an operating partner with OM Group, which also lists Baskin Robbins, Jimmy John’s, Qdoba and Smoothie King restaurants in its portfolio. Dunkin’ has several additional locations throughout the city, and the OM Group is also planning to add a second Dunkin’ in Ann Arbor on South State Street.

Other fast-food chains have made recent plans to open in downtown Detroit, per Crain’s. Chipotle and Chick-fil-A have also signed leases with Bedrock for spaces at 630 Woodward Avenue and 660 Woodward Avenue, respectively.
