Beny Sofer Inks Lease at 535 Fifth Ave
Fine-jewelry supplier Beny Sofer has inked a 10-year lease for a 7,300-square-foot space at 535 Fifth Ave. in Midtown East. Situated on the 15th floor of the 36-story building, the space will serve as Beny Sofer’s office and showroom, with a move-in planned for the second quarter.
The lease transaction was facilitated in-house by the company. The landlord, The Moinian Group, was represented by Omar Sozkesen from The Moinian Group and Mitchell Arkin from Cushman & Wakefield.
535 Fifth Ave. has witnessed a surge in leasing activity within the diamond and fine jewelry sector over the past 18 months, with tenants like the International Gemological Institute, Prima Gems, and Ukrainian Diamond Corp. signing new leases. Sandeep Diamond Corp. and IDD USA have also expanded their presence in the building. Boasting 100% retail occupancy, the property’s notable tenants include Best Buy, Läderach, the NBA Store, and Paris Saint Germain.
