SIOR Chicago Hosts Event on IL Economic Development

The Chicago Chapter of The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) recently hosted its Speaker Series Luncheon at Allegra Banquets in Schiller Park, Illinois, with more than 60 SIOR members and guests attending the event.

Peter Billmeyer, SIOR, President of the SIOR Chicago Chapter and Co-Founder and CEO of Bespoke Commercial Real Estate, welcomed Dan Seals, CEO of nonprofit Intersect Illinois, to lead about discussion about how to communicate the benefits of Illinois to companies considering relocating in or out of the state.

Key takeaways included how Illinois’ diverse economy creates the space for collaboration across sectors, and makes it an attractive target for venture capital investment. The luncheon also touched on the impact of the state’s transportation infrastructure and power energy grids, as well as how life sciences and manufacturing projects like mHUB and CZ Biohub Chicago are propelling growth and technological advancement.
