Two Houston-Area H-E-B Markets Open Doors

Near identically-sized H-E-B supermarkets opened in the Houston metro area in the last few weeks. H-E-B Madera Run opened in Humble and H-E-B Katy Park are both serving customers in identical 117,000-square-foot stores

The Humble store is in The Groves master-planned community across the street from the Pavilion at The Groves apartment complex. Out in front of the store, there’s a walk-up seafood boil stand where shoppers can select from shrimp, crawfish, crab or lobster.

Meanwhile, H-E-B Katy Park opened a few weeks before. That store is in the 54-acre The Market at Katy Park development. The Katy Park location also offers a walk-up seafood boil stand in front of the store and a fuel station.

The Woodlands-based Woodforest National Bank also opened branches in both locations. The vast majority of Woodforest Bank’s branches are located within retailers, mostly in Walmart stores. The bank opened its first H-E-B retail branch in November 2022.
