Former Walgreens CEO Joins United Airlines Board
The former CEO of Walgreens, Rosalind Brewer, has landed a new role following her departure from the pharmacy and healthcare chain in 2023. Chicago-based United Airlines has added Brewer to its board of directors.
“Roz’s strategic acumen and visionary leadership make her the right addition to our already strong board of directors as we plan for the long-term success of United Airlines,” said United’s CEO Scott Kirby.
Brewer started her career at Kimberly-Clark Corporation, went on to join Walmart and eventually became the CEO of Sam’s Club. Brewer also served on Starbucks’ board of directors from 2017 to 2021. As CEO of Walgreens, she became the only African American woman leading a Fortune 500 company.
“I look forward to collaborating with the board and leadership team as we continue to deliver unparalleled travel experiences for our customers and chart the course for our bright future,” Brewer said of her new position.
