Bell Textron looking at FW warehouse for manufacturing plant

Bell Textron Scoping FW for $429M Project

If Bell Textron can cash in on a new state incentive program, it would consider building an advanced manufacturing plant in a vacant warehouse in its home city, Fort Worth. The Jobs, Energy, Technology and Innovation Act limits school taxes over a 10-year period. The Dallas Business Journal reports Bell said the incentive would make the Texas location more competitive.

The project would be a $429 million total investment, including $272 million in manufacturing equipment and $157 million in real estate investments. Bell is proposing to expand the building by 5,400 square feet.

Bell could create as many as 411 jobs at the site with average salaries of $85,000 and more than $600 million in capital investment over 10 years, according to the application.

The project is also seeking almost $2.7 million in Texas Enterprise Fund grants and has been offered a $1 million grant from the city of Fort Worth.
