Bakke uses $10M construction for 800-unit self storage project in New Braunfels

JV Building 104K SF New Braunfels Storage Facility

Bakke Development and BCDC are joining forces on a 104,875-square-foot self-storage facility in New Braunfels, Texas. The development marks the partnership’s fifth project.

Frost Bank provided a $10.1 million construction loan. The development is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2025.

Upon completion, the four-story building will include 987 climate-controlled units. The property will also feature CCTV cameras and card access systems.

Commercial Edge reports the storage facility will be one of the 23 available within a 3-mile radius. The San Antonio market has 14 self-storage properties under construction, set to add 1.2 million square feet to the existing inventory.

Bakke Development currently has another self-storage project underway in San Antonio. The developer also has six properties in the McAllen market, including an 85,825-rentable-square-foot facility that recently broke ground. The 762-unit climate-controlled development is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2025.
