TI Projecting $119M for Dallas HQ Revamp
The Texas Instruments Dallas Headquarters is under review for a major makeover. The Dallas Business Journal reports renovations to a five-story mixed-use building at Texas Instruments’ Dallas headquarters campus could get underway in July. The improvements could run as high as $119 million with a completion date of 2027.
Its Kilby West building near U.S. Highway 75 and Interstate 635 has over 500,000 square feet.
TI renovated its Kilby East building in the last few years, updating office space and performing work on an existing high-voltage lab. The Kilby buildings are named after former TI engineer Jack Kilby, who discovered the integrated circuit, the basis for much of the technology TI has developed over the years.
In North Texas, the company is ramping up production at its 300 mm wafer fabrication facility in Richardson, where it specializes in analog and embedded processing chips, while also moving ahead on building four 300 mm wafer fabrication facilities in Sherman.
