Doe Fund to Build 109-Unit Bronx Affordable Housing

The Doe Fund has secured construction financing for a new 109-unit affordable and supportive housing residence in the Bronx, located at 3118 Webster Avenue in Norwood. Developed in partnership with Urban Builders Collaborative, LLC and architects Curtis + Ginsberg, the 10-story building will feature 39 supportive units for individuals and families who have experienced chronic homelessness, alongside 70 affordable units for tenants earning between 40-80% area median income.

The residence will include amenities such as an interior courtyard, energy-efficient appliances, a community room, a gym, and a laundry room. It will also offer on-site supportive services provided by The Doe Fund, including case management, substance abuse counseling, and access to educational and employment resources.

Funding for the development comes from the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development’s ELLA Program, tax credit equity from Redstone Equity Partners, and financing from Bank of NY Mellon and Merchants Capital. The residence is expected to open in late 2025.
