Subtext Launches Acquisitions Vertical, Appoints Mike Hung as EVP
Subtext, an integrated real estate development company, has launched a new acquisitions vertical. The company has also appointed Mike Hung to spearhead the initiative as Partner & Executive Vice President of Acquisitions.
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hung brings 15 years of experience in the real estate sector, and he has transacted on over $1 billion of student housing throughout his career. He previously worked as SVP of Acquisitions and was a member of the executive team for CA Ventures’ student housing platform, CA Student Living. Hung held a similar position at Waypoint Residential, where he launched the student housing division and oversaw acquisitions and dispositions.
Prior to Subtext, he founded Citrine Partners, a multifamily investment shop with a specialized focus on student housing. Hung has also held positions at Wells Fargo and BlackRock and is a member of ULI’s National Student Housing Council.
