Brinkmann Constructors Completes Industrial Build for Urban Outfitters

Brinkmann Constructors has completed the conversion of a one-million-square-foot speculative warehouse into a 600,000-square-foot industrial facility for Urban Outfitters Inc. in Raymore, a southern suburb of Kansas City, Missouri.

In 2023, Urban Outfitters announced plans to invest $60 million into the fulfillment center, which the company expects will create 750 jobs at the site in the Kansas City industrial market within five years. The property was developed by VanTrust Real Estate and marketed by Colliers. Located off Interstate 49, the 130-acre industrial park has three buildings.

The renovated space will accommodate dry cleaning and laundry operations as well as function as a distribution hub for Nuuly, a subscription-based clothing rental service from Urban Outfitters. Tenant improvements involved the separation of the additional 400,000 square feet to allow for future operational expansion or tenant use.
