- Dallas-based JLL Capital Markets closed a seven-year, fixed-rate loan for $179,541,000 with Fannie Mae on behalf of Brookdale Senior Living. Proceeds were used to refinance a seven-year tranche of a large credit facility that Brookdale closed with JLL and Fannie Mae in 2017. The collateral comprises 47 properties and 5,102 geographically diversified units among 14 states. Brookdale is a repeat client of JLL and Fannie Mae and the largest senior housing operator in the U.S.
- Granite Properties announced that Eldridge, an 824,632 square feet, Class-A, three-building office complex in Houston’s Energy Corridor is 95 percent leased. Eldridge signed 21 leases with large and small companies in 2023, totaling 564,302 square feet.
- Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of the Storage Bright Portfolio, a 225,275 rentable-square foot self-storage portfolio consisting of eight Springtown, Paradise, and Weatherford, Texas facilities.
- Younger Partners acquired Midlothian Towne Crossing, a 147,161-square-foot shopping center located on the southern outskirts of Dallas. The center sits on 34 acres and was 99 percent leased at the time of sale to tenants such as Ross Dress for Less, Burkes Outlet, JoAnn Fabrics, Petco, Ulta Beauty and Famous Footwear.
- Apartment builder JPI, recently acquired by Tokyo-based international housing firm Sumitomo Forestry Co., is moving from its Las Colinas offices to the Cypress Waters development north of LBJ Fwy. JPI is leasing almost 54,000 square feet of office space at 9001 Cypress Waters, previously occupied by One Source Virtual. The builder was previously housed at 600 Las Colinas office tower near SH 114 in the Las Colinas Urban Center.
- Rogers-O’Brien Construction (RO) announced Cisco Hobbs’ transition to Regional President, focusing on the company’s Waco and Houston offices.
