HDSA Expands Long-Term Lease in Midtown

Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) has signed a 10-year lease extension at 505 Eighth Ave in the Garment District. The nonprofit, dedicated to aiding Huntington’s disease patients, expanded from 6,870 to 7,443 square feet on the 14th floor.

Allen Gurevich of GFP Real Estate, representing both landlord and tenant. “HDSA had outgrown its previous space over the years and wanted to find a more contemporary, usable office layout and space that better fit the organization’s needs,” said Gurevich.

505 Eighth Ave., originally known as the Hoover Building, was built in 1926 by the architect Chester James Storm.  The 25-story, 275,000-square-foot building features a 24/7 attended lobby and keycard access.
