BioMed Realty Promotes Three to VP

BioMed Realty, a Blackstone portfolio company headquartered in San Diego, has promoted Tracy Letchworth, Ed McDonald and Kevin Vu to the role of VP. Letchworth and Yu are based in BioMed’s Bay Area offices, while McDonald is located in the Boston area.

Letchworth becomes VP, property management, after serving as regional director, property management. She now has direct oversight of the property management for BioMed Realty’s Bay Area operating portfolio. Prior to joining BioMed in 2021, Letchworth served as VP for The Swig Company and Transwestern.

McDonald becomes VP, development, after serving as senior director, development. He joined BioMed in 2013 and has led many of the company’s development projects in both Cambridge and Somerville, MA. This new position expands his leadership role within the company’s East Coast development department.

Vu is now VP, investments, after serving as senior director, investments. He has played key roles on the Investments team since joining BioMed in 2021, helping to expand the company’s footprint in its core innovation markets. Previously, he was in Barclays’ Investment Banking group.

Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
