  • Ryan Keefe has joined PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC as executive vice president, Midwest. In his role, Keefe will oversee all facets of PREMIER’s work across the Midwest region. Additionally, Ryan will focus on expanding the firm’s geographic footprint and further diversifying its portfolio. He joins the firm with over twenty years of experience on high-profile projects in land development.
  • Clayco, a full-service, turnkey real estate, architecture, engineering, design-build and construction firm, has hired Elizabeth Zucker as President of the St. Louis region. In this newly established role, Zucker will oversee operations in the St. Louis office, which is expected to grow by about 400 new employees in the next few years. Zucker previously served as managing director at Interior Investments of St. Louis.
  • The Counselors of Real Estate, a Chicago-based global organization of commercial property advisors, has announced its 2024 leadership team. Anthony DellaPelle, Esq., CRE, will lead the 1,000-member group as Global Chair. DellaPelle is a partner in the law firm of McKirdy, Riskin, Olson, & DellaPelle P. C. in New Jersey, focused on eminent domain, condemnation, redevelopment law and real estate tax appeals.  
  • Thomas “Buzz” Willard has retired from Tower Properties, the Kansas City-based real estate arm for Commerce Bank, at the end of last year He most recently was vice chairman with Tower, which provides construction management for commercial services and multifamily properties. 
  • Preservation of Affordable Housing Inc. (POAH), a national non-profit affordable housing developer, closed on a financing deal that will help overhaul the Island Terrace Apartments. This will be the property’s first comprehensive renovation since its construction over 50 years ago. The renovations are part of the Woodlawn community’s efforts to expand affordable housing near the Obama Presidential Center.
    • Friedman Real Estate’s Greg Hornby recently completed the sale of the 42,996-square-foot Horizon Business Center East. The office building is located at 20500 Eureka Road in Taylor, Michigan. Friedman represented the seller in the transaction.
    • In 2023, the downtown Chicago market observed its best post-pandemic performance as measured by lease transaction volume, according to Savills’ Q4 2024 office market report. Available sublease space ticked up to 7.9 million square feet in the fourth quarter. Downtown asking rents trended lower to $43.11 per square foot at year-end, driven by lowered pricing for Class B properties.
