  • Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Nicholas Murphy, MRED, has joined the firm as a Senior Director in Houston. Murphy joins Cushman & Wakefield’s Houston Equity, Debt & Structured Finance (EDSF) team and will advise clients in Texas and across the firm’s capital markets’ platform on capital-stack strategies, with a particular focus on the multifamily sector. Murphy joins Cushman & Wakefield from Sync Residential, where he was Director of Acquisitions.
  • Transwestern Real Estate Services has hired Kevin Gummerus as vice president of national engineering services in its Houston office. Gummerus applies nearly two decades of strategic operational experience in this leadership role to drive a consistent, elevated level of Asset Services solutions. Before joining Transwestern, Gummerus spent close to 18 years at Hines, overseeing engineering services for properties across geographies and asset types. As Global Sr. Corporate Engineering Manager, he led engineering operations for more than 685 properties across 30 countries and 335 cities, encompassing over 2,000 facility and engineering team members.
  • Houston’s Junction Commercial Real Estate has added team members Charles D’Agostino and Gina Hernandez. D’Agostino joins Junction’s development and project management services team, bringing 17 years of experience working with D’Agostino Companies as an asset and construction manager. In his previous role, he managed a portfolio of more than 600,000 square feet of office, medical, industrial and retail space across the Southeast United States valued in excess of $100 million. Hernandez has joined Junction as the firms director of operations and transactions. Before joining Junction, she worked at CBRE’s Hollywood office under a capital markets team specializing in the disposition of Class-A multifamily developments, condominium conversions and land for the development of multifamily properties in the Los Angeles area.
  • Dallas-based MYCON General Contractors, Inc. (MYCON) welcomed Director of Marketing, Remington May. Remington will oversee marketing efforts for MYCON’s four offices and collaborate with MYCON’s executive team, integrating the company’s objectives with its branding and overarching marketing approach to ensure a cohesive and strategic alignment across its endeavors.
  • Houston-based Asset Living, the nation’s top student housing operator, was ranked the No. 1 third-party property management company in the U.S. by Student Housing Business for the 13th consecutive year. The annual ranking was published in the latest issue of Student Housing Business where the magazine shares results from the annual Top 25 Managers Survey issued in the fall of 2023.
  • X Team Retail Advisors, a national organization of more than 350 retail real estate affiliate specialists in 44 markets across the U.S. and Canada, has announced that Austin-based Retail Resource Group (RRG) has joined the X Team platform. For the past 15 years, RRG has provided lease restructuring to retail and restaurant companies nationwide. This is X Team’s fourth office in Texas.
