EV Maker to Sublease Recently Leased Industrial Space

ElectraMeccanica has had its ups and downs of late. The result is its decision to sublease a 200,000-square-foot industrial space it has recently leased in Mesa. The company was using the space as a corporate office and for storage of its original three-wheeled Solo electric vehicle model, which has since been scrapped. 

The newly built industrial space is near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. The Phoenix Business Journal reports the company is going through a “strategic review process.” ElectraMeccanica says it isn’t at a stage where it knows if its corporate office will remain in the Mesa plant should it find a partner to utilize the entire space. The company prefers to find a new strategic partner for contract assembly services at the plant.
